Custom Cut Necklaces

I was recently commissioned to make a handful of Burning Man themed necklaces. A fairly straightforward project, but fun nonetheless. The process after the jump.

The pendands are cut from 1/8th" aluminum. The tabs are for keeping the small pieces from flying away once the machine finishes the cut & are broken free afterwards. Note the sharp edges on the freshly cut heart.

The tabs are grounded off & each piece is hand sanded, tapped, and buffed, then placed back on the router to be engraved with the Burning Man logo.

In the case of the black anodized shapes the process is identical, with the only difference being that they're engraved first .
