Custom Cut Necklaces

I was recently commissioned to make a handful of Burning Man themed necklaces. A fairly straightforward project, but fun nonetheless. The process after the jump.

It's been a while since I've posted anything new (I know) ...and I will in the next few days, promise! In the mean time though, I present you with some old projects:

Old Man Earth

I feel like if I stop working on art or design for a long time, starting again isn't like "riding a bike". I always have to kind of re-learn it, or it goes to shit. Case in point; I like this less & less, the more I look at it.
 * I changed my mind, I think I like it now.

I don't know why, but I have the strangest fascination with these things. . .

The first is done with tech & brush pens, the second, watercolor, & the last, a combination of both.

Alien Blossom coffee table

An oldie but goodie, I made this several years ago, mostly just to see if I could do it, and I guess, also to figure out if I was any good at making stuff. As a result, I have no process photos, just the finished ones. I was new, so I didn't understand the value of documenting my work.

Sometimes I forget too... But I can't help but think; copying a famous artists style combined with not being able to form faces doesn't constitute being able to "draw".
